Gaetano Berardi The Lion!
Portrait of Gaetano Berardi for Leeds That — part warrior icon, part cult-hero tribute to one of the club’s most ferociously committed captains.
About the Project
Gaetano Berardi, created for the podcast Leeds That — a tribute to a player who somehow made commitment look like a design principle.
The piece leans into the myth of Berardi as much as the likeness: all defiance, confrontation, and the sense that he might happily tackle through the edge of the frame if given the chance.
The print is available here.
A curated image run built to let the print object, surface, and detail breathe on the page.
Open any figure to inspect surface, print detail, and framing more closely without losing the overall sequence.
Sequence note
The closing plates are intended to read like a print-room pass: object, surface, and image held in sequence rather than treated as isolated uploads.
Deep zoom appendix
Print-resolution studies
These appendix plates are wired for the Deep Zoom lightbox flow described in the implementation spec: inspection JPEG first, then tiled print-resolution detail once the viewer is ready.
